Father and daughter team, Bernard Gibbons and Michelle Hensley, are your San Francisco East Bay Real Estate Specialists with well over 50 years combined experience. Bernard has been listing and selling homes in the area since 2001 and Michelle has been helping home buyers and sellers here for over 30 years, and we have now joined forces to provide an unparalleled level of service and commitment to East Bay home owners at all price points. We also have the power of RE/MAX behind us – marketing, technology, administration, legal and general support that is second to none.

Our philosophy is based on the concept of always doing the best we possibly can for our buyers and sellers. Many people find buying or selling a home to be a traumatic experience, and a big part of our job is to help you cope with anything that arises.

And when we say Personal, that’s exactly what we mean. When you work with us, either as a buyer or a seller, you get us. We will never hand you off to an assistant or another agent, and we are always focused on providing you with the highest possible level of service that we can.

When you list your home for sale with us, in addition to exceptional marketing and promotion of your home, we will provide pre-listing inspections , top quality photography and video (including aerial and/or twilight shots as appropriate), as well as professional staging. All this is at no additional cost to you. We’ll also advise on cost-effective improvements to help your home sell fast and for a higher price.

Our Background

Bernard made the move into the real estate industry in 2001, after working in technology related companies both in California and in England, where he lived until moving to California in the nineteen nineties to take up a leadership position in an international consulting firm. Previous positions he held include software development, sales and marketing, international recruitment and relocation. This last change of career direction was prompted by Michelle.

When he’s not involved with Real Estate matters, Bernard can often be found in his woodworking shop or working on home improvement projects. His other interests include technology, photography & videography, and food and wine.

Michelle moved to California many years ago and Bernard and Michelle’s mother, Sylvia, followed her some time later. As an experienced Realtor herself, Michelle eventually persuaded Bernard that real estate would be the profession that would suit him perfectly. Since then, he notes that it is one of the best career moves he ever made as he enjoys every aspect of the job.

An avid skier, Michelle tries to spend as many winter weekends in Tahoe as she can. She is also involved with a number of charities.

That, in  a nutshell, describes the path we have taken, and how and why we spend our time helping people to buy and sell homes.
