Danville Housing

Danville is also known for its high-end real estate, with many large, luxurious homes and estates situated in the surrounding hills. The town is a popular choice for those who want to live in a beautiful, peaceful community that is close to all the amenities of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Danville real estate is getting more expensive every day, but Danville homes for sale cover a wide variety of styles, sizes and age. Everything from small condominium developments to large estates. While the west side has predominantly older homes, some even dating back to the nineteen fifties, with large lots, there is a lot of newer construction, most of it out towards Blackhawk on the east side. The older, west side, is seen by many to be the most desirable part of Danville, and “walk to town” homes sell for premium prices.

Blackhawk has to be considered quite separately. Although in the 94506 zip code, this highly prestigious address is one of the most sought after (and most expensive) neighborhoods around. Blackhawk real estate is spread between seven different neighborhoods, all of them gated, centered around Blackhawk Country Club with its two award winning golf courses. Blackhawk homes for sale start well over $1m and range from townhomes to large country estates. There is also an attractive, upmarket shopping center – the Shops at Blackhawk.
